Philippe TORRY started his professional career within Sabena at the customer service department. Fairly quick he made it through customer service hierarchy. In 1996, Philippe TORRY decided to change to the Security Department. He worked as general security inspector and advisor for 4 years.
In 2000, he started working for US Airways as startup manager. During this time, Philippe Torry opened Brussels and Amsterdam. From 2004 to 2006 he was supervising and managing all daily SN and OA flights out BRU. In 2002 he moved to Germany where he first worked as a station manager FRA and MUC. After one year, he accepted the challenge to run Europe as regional manager customer service Europe.
Philippe TORRY says “2006 was the year where, as I like to call it, I moved to the dark side of the airline business, with other words, Cargo. At that time, all US airways cargo holds were outsourced to LH. So actually US airways cargo didn’t exist anymore as such on the European market. By accepting the role as Regional Manager Europe cargo sales and service I was instrumental in re-appointing GSA and GHA for US in Europe.”
As the regional Manager Europe Cargo sales and Service he successfully added several new European destinations to his company’s network. In 2009 the Middle Eastern region was added to his responsibilities
From Mid-2013 to end 2014 he exclusively worked on the integration and merger between US and AA.
